Carla and Dan’s Downtown Wedding 06.18.2010

This is the first time I was hired without actually meeting my bride or speaking to her.  Carla and Dan live out of state and were happy to let Carla’s mom, Nita, do the wedding planning for them, so I actually met with Nita instead.  Nita was great–she knew what she wanted for her daughter and was really easy to work with over the last few months.  We did manage to meet with Carla while she was in town a couple of weeks before the wedding and even do an Engagement session (closest session to the wedding I have ever done), just 3 days before the big day!  Carla and Dan were relaxed–no stress or fuss!  The ceremony was in a place near to my heart–Travis Park United Methodist, where I got married almost 3 years ago.  The wedding went beautifully, with only a minor hiccup when the pastor called Dan another name (yikes!) which got several laughs and an interesting mention in the toast later.  There were A LOT of kids at the reception, and they were really tearing up the dance floor while all the adults mingled.  It was a very classy and nice wedding, and I enjoyed the day. I also really LOVE the shot of Carla and Dan in front of the Majestic–so glad we squeezed in the extra time to walk over there!  Congrats you two!
