Andrea and Rey’s Halloween Reception

Andrea and Rey had a destination wedding in Mexico last month, but wanted to have a party back home for those who could not attend–what better theme for a party in October than Halloween?  I was sad not to be able to be their wedding photographer, but they have been great to work with though the engagement and bridal sessions, and I was happy to do their reception as well.  How often do the girls and I get a chance to dress 80’s on the job?  It was short but sweet, with some of the normal things like a toast, cake cutting, and lots of dancing throughout, but definately not your average reception.  I absolutely loved the cakes and decor they chose.  We decided to use this great opportunity for a test run with what I hope to turn into an offical Portrait Station sometime soon.  The girls and I set up a nice black backdrop along a blank wall of the room with lighting and an extra camera.  We made sure someone always had their eye on the “booth” and guests were able to come up and get a portrait done when ever they could during the night.  It was a big hit, especially with such great costumes to have fun in!  I am not doing on site printing yet (Isaid it was a test runa after all), but i plan on giving guests a 4×6 or 5×7 once I officially have this up and running.  In the mean time, Andrea has these on her disk, and has the option of emailing them or printing some out to send them in her Thank you cards.  Here are a few of my favorites from the night:
