Paulina and Ian’s New Hampshire Wedding

Paulina has worked with me as an occasional assistant for a couple years, and when she got engaged I was so excited that she asked me to do her engagement portraits.  I love working with her and knew she would be an awesome bride!  Originally, they (mostly Ian, since he had never met me before) had planned on hiring a local photographer to cover their New England wedding…but after the engagement session they really wanted me to be there for their big day.  I was SO excited and honored that they loved working with me enough to fly me out of state to be there and I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

August in Texas was SUPER hot and yucky, but the weather in Boston (where we flew in) and New Hampshire (only an hour away) was just amazing.  I actually had to have a sweater on at night!  My husband joined me as my assistant for the weekend (and I have to say that he makes a GREAT assistant…maybe because he has more on the line than a paycheck, lol) and it was such a great experience to see the beautiful sites together in the area.  The wedding day was so beautiful–every where you turned there was gorgeous scenery.

Paulina and Ian chose to be married at Ian’s family home.  After they finished getting ready (and I forced Paulina to eat a doughnut so she wouldn’t pass out, lol), we whisked the couple away to a little spot down the street on a gorgeous river where they saw each other for the first time in a reveal.  We then had a fun time getting some great wedding part shots (they can make some awesome funny faces) and epic (if I do say so myself) romantic portraits of the bride and groom.  Then it was back to the house for a romantic back yard ceremony where tears flowed freely and a tent reception.  Paulina is actually a florist by nature (which is how we met initially) and created all of the floral pieces at her own wedding.  On top of that, Ian is a pretty amazing wood workman (I’m sure there is a term for that I am forgetting)–a combination that meant there were stunning personal touches in every nook and cranny.

It was a gorgeous, fun, amazing wedding day and I am so honored I could be a part of it!  Congratulations you two!:)
