The day finally arrived that I got to see Alyssa–the beautiful young lady who I photographed several years ago for her senior portraits–marry her wonderful man. I love seeing these two together and the easy love they share and just knew their wedding would be amazing. When their late February day dawn with near freezing temperatures and a steady drizzle, I was so worried for them, but Alyssa and Jordan didn’t let a little weather stop them from having the time of their lives and enjoying the gorgeous hill country location they booked. I LOVE that Alyssa and Jordan decided to brave the elements for their portraits and ceremony (I don’t think I would have been that brave!!), and we got some absolutely gorgeous shots of them at the Lodge at Bridal Veil Falls. They met each other for the first time in a little private room, and then we dashed out to get all of their formals done against the gorgeous waterfall backdrop. Then it was inside for a bit of thawing out and back out again for the ceremony. Their guests were able to bundle up against the cold, and the sea of umbrellas kept them all dry (and made a really adorable scene!). The reception was warm and cozy and even more welcoming as night fell and the rain came down in earnest. I still remember being moved by their toasts and the loving looks they shared during their first dance. Almost too-soon, it was time for their send-off among a tunnel of sparklers to light of the damp evening air, and then we finished the night off with a gorgeous portrait of the newlyweds in the falling rain.

Alyssa and Jordan ALSO had my Portrait Station at the reception for their guests. I rarely show these off and I need to do that more often, so here are a few of my favorites:
