I was so excited to go out to Houston for this wonderful wedding for my own step brother, Solomon, and his sweet fiance’s Amy! These two are so fun and I loved that they weren’t afraid to add some personal style and flair to their big day–I knew it was going to be a cool day! A bit of rain never hurt anyone and definitely wasn’t stopping this day from being awesome, either. The Admiral Endeavor Marina was even more beautiful with rain clouds rolling in, I thought! Amy and Solomon are Jewish, so it was a no-brainer to have a special Reveal/1st Look before the ceremony (since they would see each other for the Ketubah signing anyway). They got ready separately, and when it was time for the big moment, Amy walked up to Solomon, tapped him on the shoulder, and he turned around to see his lovely bride for the first time. I loved seeing all the emotions of their day come out in that moment–excitement, nervousness, happiness, and so much love! Portrait time flew by and soon it was time for these two to sign their official marriage license and then walk down the isle to say “I do”. They had a traditional Jewish ceremony under a Chuppah, surrounded by closest friends and family and ordained by a Rabbi–all the while sneaking little looks of love and happiness at each other. Once Solomon broke the glass and rounds of “Mozel Tov” were shouted, it was time for the party to get started! Solomon and Amy shared their first dance as the sun sent it’s final rays over the Marina, and then the floor got crazy as people showed off their best moves. It wouldn’t be a Jewish wedding without the Hora Dance, and it was so fun to see the couple laughing their heads off while they were tossed up and down. Night drew on and we finished off with a sparkler photo op…a perfect end to such a great wedding day!
