Brittany and Lane Tie the Knot!

I worked with Brittany’s mom waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back when I had barely started Caitlin’s Creations (and I was still shooting freelance for NSIDE Magazine!) and was so excited when she came to me to ask if I would be her daughter’s wedding photographer.  I didn’t get to meet the bride and groom until a couple weeks before the big day (they are both living out of state), but I do LOVE the way we got to meet!  Instead of doing traditional bridals, Brittany wanted to do a PRE wedding day First Look with her groom.  We got Brittany all ready and set her in a little secluded area…then Lane got to walk around the corner and see his bride for the first time.  I always love capturing that moment!  After that, it was a ton of fun posing this handsome and sweet couple all around the Spanish Governor’s Mansion and getting to know them a bit before wedding day.  You can really feel the love these two have for each other and it was such a joy to capture!

Wedding day was a little different of a routine than usual.  Brittany and Lane are Mormon, which means they were married in private at the Mormon Temple.  So we started their day off after they said their vows with a crowd of cheering guests as they exited the church as man and wife.  We got a ton of beautiful portraits of the newlyweds, their family, and their big wedding party (LOVE the girls’ dresses, by the way) and then everyone had a few hours to cool off before the evening reception.  Brittany and Lane celebrated their wedding that evening with a gorgeous, romantic back-yard wedding.  There were beautiful details everywhere you looked!  Sparkling table cloths, cute little chalk board signs, strings of lights and chandeliers, and frame portraits of the couple dotted the entire space.  So cute!
